Saudade -  A Portuguese word describing a profound longing for people, places, and moments just out of reach. It's more of a feeling than a specific meaning. I chose to name my shop Saudade because this sentiment is a part of every piece I create. I capture not just what places look like, but how they feel in memory and in imagination (for those who've only longed to be there).

Hi, I'm Rudy Lopez. I create original watercolor, oil, and gouache paintings. My distinctive style focuses on textures, warm color palettes, and the poetry of everyday moments. My work predominantly features the vibrant streets, weathered architecture, and intimate daily life of places from around the world, from Seattle, to the Southwest, to Lisbon, Portugal - all of my favorite places.

Every original piece is hand-painted and/or drawn by me, there is no use of AI or digital tools used in these pieces.
